1. Where do I start?

I am not a very open person, I generally don’t put myself out there, until now!  I want to share how I got where I am today and highlight any strategies that I did and obstacles that I overcame.

I have ADHD and was diagnosed a couple years ago, which I had to navigate life for 40 years with an unmedicated ADHD brain, which caused me all sorts of issues,  I didn’t realize what I had, but knew I was a bit different socially, my organizational skills lacked and had trouble staying on task, but would never think in a million years I had ADHD until i did, then I looked into and then it all fit.

I grieved for what could have been if for the last 40 years if I was able to function to my fullest capabilities.  I have made it this far and am successful in my career, but what if????  I will never know the answer to that question and have to come to terms with that.

When I think of all the things I  missed out on over the years, my head spins.  Recently I have taken a new approach in an attempt to relive those years by identifying the things I overlooked or never got around to do.  So I have decided that I want to see things on how they have evolved, example Super Mario Bros franchise, I want to start with the original and work my way through on how that game evolved into what it is today.  Just like a reflection on myself. Remember I have ADHD, so I currently 264 things on a list like the Mario example that I want to explore and experience. Where do I start? What do I choose to do?  These 264 things to do, is from hobbies, video games, books and movies.  It is a bit overwhelming, but also exiting!

I am a twin dad, that works shift work.  Time has always been an issue for me so I have been following a “system” to help me not get overwhelmed with choices.  Of course, I have rules to how my choices are “governed” again to help keep me interested but not get hyper focused on a certain project or thing to do.

My goal of this blog is just give some normalcy to how my brain works and an outlet to create some discussion about it.
